Uniforms
Uniforms reach us dirtier than anything else we handle. Playground mud, ink, food, engine grease, hospital soil. That is why uniforms are dry cleaned rather than sent through a wash by weight: a bulk wash moves loose dirt, and most of what is on a uniform is not loose. Each piece is checked, the marks are treated individually, and only then does it go through.
What is included
- Dry cleaned rather than washed by weight, because the soiling needs treating not rinsing
- Stains identified and pre treated one by one before the main clean
- School uniforms, including whites and coloured house kit
- Office, hospital and industrial uniforms
- Pressed with a set crease where the uniform calls for one
- Whites brought back to white rather than to a grey that passes from a distance
Questions
Why are uniforms not charged by the kilo like the rest of the wash?
Because they are not cleaned like the rest of the wash. Uniforms come to us with heavy, set in soiling that a weight based wash will not lift, so they are dry cleaned and priced per piece from the dry cleaning rates.
Can you handle a whole school or office contract?
Yes, and it is worth talking to us directly rather than ordering online. Call 88911 54111 and ask for a volume rate.
