Cleaning before they are put away removes the sweat, perfume and food residue that a day of wearing leaves behind, and it is that residue, invisible on the day, which oxidises into brown patches over months in a cupboard. Clean it before it goes away, and it comes out ready for the next occasion.

The garment looks clean. Is it worth cleaning before I put it away?
Yes, and this is the single thing most people get wrong. Perfume, body oil and sugar leave marks you cannot see on the day that turn brown after a few months in a cupboard. Cleaning before storage costs less than the stain removal afterwards, which does not always work.
Can you clean garments with heavy stone or thread work?
Yes. Intricately embellished garments are the work we are set up for, and they are handled piece by piece rather than in a line. The charge depends on the nature and extent of the work, so the estimate usually comes after we have seen the garment.
